The 10GBASE-BX BiDi SFP+ transceiver transmits at 1550 nm and receives at 1490 nm over a single strand of single-mode fiber (SMF), reaching 100 km through a simplex LC connector. It plugs into any SFP MSA slot, is hot-pluggable, and follows the SFF-8472 management interface.

Typical deployments

Single-fiber designs halve the fiber you lease and are the standard choice for FTTH access, point-to-point ISP links, microwave backhaul and metro spans where only one strand is available between sites.
