The 100GBASE-ER4 QSFP28 transceiver delivers 100 Gbps over single-mode fiber (SMF) using LWDM with a duplex LC connector, up to 40 km. It is hot-pluggable, QSFP28 MSA-compliant, and supports DDM digital diagnostics.

Typical deployments

100G QSFP28 is the standard spine-leaf fabric speed: leaf uplinks, storage fabrics and metro 100G transport. SR4 uses MPO multimode to 100 m; LR1, ER4 and ZR4 cover 10–80 km over single-mode LC for campus and metro spans.
